We are looking for an HR Manager to deliver a series of connected people-related projects while also managing the day-to-day HR activities. You will be expected to take full ownership of all aspects relating to the people agenda, apart from recruitment, which is managed separately within the HR function. You will be happy to switch between the strategic and the operational (and everything in between!) on a regular basis in line with the business needs in this varied and exciting role.

The core responsibilities include:

• Shape and drive the people agenda with the timely delivery of people-related projects on a global basis
• Define the different people-related projects in relation to scope, objectives and timescales, involving all relevant stakeholders and employees as necessary – for example, work as part of a cross-functional team to shape the company culture and define company values
• Manage the full spectrum of the day-to-day HR activities
• Provide oversight and direction to the recruitment function
• Establish and maintain relationships with people-related third parties/suppliers
• Act as primary contact for all employee relations matters, to employees and managers alike
• Report on the status of HR projects and HR activity & core metrics to CEO and Board
• Be a member of the Leadership Team
• Ensure legal compliance and auditable processes at all times



• Significant HR generalist experience covering all of the core specialisms:
o Organisational development, organisational design, employee engagement, reward, benefits, performance, talent, learning, payroll, recruitment, employee relations, employment law

• Proven track record of delivery in a varied and fast-paced HR generalist role in the UK
• Previous HR consulting and/or HR partnering experience into technical or complex business areas
• Knowledge of overseas HR practices (ideally the US and various countries in Asia)
• Experience of defining, creating and implementing organisational development related projects e.g. employee value proposition / values / competency frameworks / organisational learning / knowledge management / employee opinion surveys

• Knowledge of reward structures and career progression frameworks
• Experience of set-up and administration of benefits schemes and share option schemes
• Experience of implementing training needs analysis, soft skill short course creation and stand-up delivery
• Experience of managing the performance appraisal cycle, including activities like managing a calibration process, supporting the goal-setting process and delivering awareness training to employees and managers
• Solid employee relations knowledge and experience, covering areas of performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance matters
• Strong Microsoft Office experience, including advanced Excel, intermediate Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Numerate and technical with the ability to manipulate, report and summarise data
• Solid administration and organisational skills including great attention to detail, the ability to prioritise and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Proven ability to work at all levels within the company and build relationships quickly
• Ability to deliver by working through others
• Process driven with experience of creating auditable and scalable processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication


• Previous experience of working in an HR capacity within the high tech space (digital, software, hardware, engineering)
• Previous experience of operating in a standalone HR role within a fast-paced growing company
• Project and programme management experience
• Experience of setting up HR policies, procedures and practices in overseas countries
• Experience of salary surveys, such as Radford, IPAS, Comptryx, or Towers Watson
• Experience of job evaluation systems, such as Hay or equivalent in-house systems
• Experience and/or knowledge of UK payrolls and overseas payrolls
• Experience and/or knowledge of visas and immigration in the UK and overseas
• Experience of working in an ISO9001:2015 accredited company
• Good knowledge of employment law and more general legal concepts
• CIPD membership
• Coaching accreditation
